Birthday gig and my own 20th birthday!!

Hey!! Two weeks back I played at a 70's themed birthday party. It was awesome! I had no idea how many songs I'd get to play, or anything. So I decided to go with the flow. I ended up playing for an hour! :) Suppprrr! Here are a few pics from that!

Me and my lovely sis!

The birthday dude!

Moving on to the last weekend. My birthday was on 24th of April. Me and my sisters went out on Friday to see Suburban Tribe in Tavastia. They've just released a new album. The gig and the new songs were great! But the highlight of the night was definitely when Ville asked the whole audience to sing "happy birthday" to me. It was a surprise from my sisters. I couldn't believe it!! I love them so so much!! :)

Just some clothes. :)

The fourth picture is the Custo Barcelona dress. I looks a lot better on when it actually has some sort of shape. :P

I'll leave you with this. Poor ankles. :D

I LOVE NYC part 3

The last three days in NYC were great! I walked around for hours, back and forth. And in Soho I bumped into a Custo Barcelona outlet. Here's a link to their homepage. Their clothes are so cool with the prints and shapes, but usually they're super expensive. I walked inside the store and saw a rack with a few items 30% off of the outlet price. There I found a dress, which I ended up paying 48$ for (like 30€!!). By the counter the salesperson was like "Wow, did you know that the original price of this dress was 250$ plus taxes." Lucky!!

Me wearing the dress the last night out at a dance club in Greenwich Village

The first day alone I walked downtown to see Ground Zero. It was basically a construction site. I guess it would've been more shocking had I seen the Two Towers live. But it brought back the memories when I heard about the horrible news for the first time. I was very young and the whole thing felt extremely surreal..

So there I was, walking and a dude namned Val stopped to talk to me on the street. He was very friendly like the average New Yorker. We talked and got to know each other and he ended up taking me to a couple of great vintage stores in Brooklyn. I'll post pics of those clothes later. :)

Here's my new hoodie and necklace. This is before going out to a club called 1OAK.

Meeting people is great!

A nice piece of art

Having chicken on rice in Union Square Park. :)

And finally, I've cut my hair once more and dyed it a bit differently as well. I'm actually wearing one of those vintage pieces in this pic.

Here's a song I love and think you should hear in case you haven't Tata! :)

I LOVE NYC part 2

Day 3: Me and Papa ate the best breakfest ever!

Then we walked to 42nd Street on 12th to catch the 3 hour Circle Line boat tour around Manhattan.

We grabbed lunch and sat outside. Watching people is one of the most entertaining things you can do. You have the stereotypes you easily rely on. I love it when a person is something on the outside, say a rocker/heavy- metal dude and then they turn out to be kindergarten teachers or something like that. Or like me for example, on the outside you probably can't tell that I'm in fact a man.
...what. So ANY way! I was eager to take my dad out to eat sushi, since he hadn't before! Sushi happens to be my favorite food. :)

Why does my dad always look so brown?? I clearly got the whitey gene from somewhere. Damn you, pale skin that burns already in springtime, daaamn you!

Day 4: This was actually my dad's last day in NYC, then he abandoned me. Hehe. The thing was that he had booked his trip in September, for four days. In February he asked if I wanna come with him. We flew from different countries, since he lives in Sweden so I thought that I could might as well stay for a whole week. I've been planning on traveling alone for a long time so this was the perfect opportunity to see how it feels, even if only for a couple of days. So the last day we went to the Museum of Natural History. Here are some pics of that!

I just couldn't believe that a whale is that big in real life! Even if they don't harm humans I'd definitely pee in my pants if one of those would come anywhere near me.

Seafood couscous for dinner!

After dinner I told my dad that I'd be going up to the Empire State building. First he didn't wanna come cause he's afraid of heights. But in the end he came up there with me and the view was breathtaking.

Times Square. "A bit" lit up.

The next day we went to the less fancy hotel where I'd stay for the remaining days. We drank our last coffees together and said our goodbyes.

And there I was, alone. :) Bye bye baby, baby goodbye!
